Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Purpose Built Software, which operates Fitxtractor (the service). Using the service means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

Fitxtractor connects to health and fitness services you already use, copies your data from them into one account, and shows it back to you in a dashboard and through an API.

3. Not medical advice

Everything the service shows you is information, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Numbers can be wrong: a device can misread, an import can fail, and an estimate such as VO2 max is a formula applied to the data it has. Talk to a qualified clinician before acting on anything you see here.

4. Your account

  • Give accurate details when you register and keep them current.
  • Keep your password, API tokens, and paired Telegram account to yourself. Anything done with them counts as done by you.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Connected services

Fitbit, Oura, Apple Health, Hevy, RENPHO, Telegram, and Anthropic are separate companies with their own terms. Connecting one of them authorises us to use the credentials you give us to fetch, or process, your data there. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or changes to their APIs. Connecting RENPHO stores the RENPHO password you type, encrypted; connect it only if you are comfortable with that.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful;
  • try to reach data or accounts that are not yours, or probe the server for weaknesses;
  • overload the service or the connected services through it, for example by hammering the API;
  • connect accounts on the sources that belong to someone else without their permission.

7. Your data

Your data stays yours. How we store and handle it is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

8. No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that imported data will be complete or correct.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Purpose Built Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been told such damages were possible.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by email. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where practical. The sections on medical advice, warranty, and liability survive the end of the agreement.

11. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it, and a change that affects your rights will be announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Purpose Built Software is based, and disputes under them go to the courts there.
